Goli Soda Plant

Reverse Osmosis Plant

Overview

Green Nature Solutions designs, fabricates and commissions complete Goli Soda (carbonated beverage) manufacturing plants for small, medium and large-scale producers. Goli Soda — also known as marble soda or Indian soda water — is one of the most popular and widely consumed carbonated beverages in India, especially in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and other southern states. Our Goli Soda plants are built to produce high-quality, safe, refreshing carbonated drinks at consistent quality and affordable production costs.

What is Goli Soda?

Goli Soda is a carbonated soft drink sold in a unique glass bottle sealed with a glass marble. When the bottle is opened, the marble drops inside and releases the carbonation. It is available in plain soda and a variety of flavours — lemon, orange, rose, masala, jeera, pineapple, and many regional variants. The drink is hugely popular at roadside stalls, small shops, schools and festivals across South India.

How It Works

The Goli Soda manufacturing process involves purifying water to drinking water standards, carbonating it with food-grade CO₂, adding flavour syrups and filling it into the iconic Goli Soda glass bottles with marble seals — all in a hygienic, automated or semi-automated production line.

Process Flow

  1. Raw Water Pre-treatment – Borewell or municipal water treated through sand filtration and activated carbon filtration
  2. RO Purification – Water purified by reverse osmosis to remove dissolved salts, bacteria and impurities
  3. UV Sterilisation – Final UV disinfection to ensure microbiologically safe water
  4. Chilling – Purified water chilled to 4–8°C for better CO₂ absorption
  5. Syrup Preparation – Sugar syrup prepared and blended with food-grade flavour concentrates and permitted food colours
  6. Carbonation – Chilled water mixed with food-grade CO₂ gas in a carbonator to achieve desired carbonation level (3–4 volumes of CO₂)
  7. Bottle Washing – Used Goli Soda bottles cleaned in a bottle washing machine using hot water and food-grade detergent
  8. Filling – Carbonated flavoured water filled into cleaned bottles with marble inserted
  9. Sealing / Capping – Bottle sealed with marble and crown cap (for some variants)
  10. Inspection & Labelling – Bottles inspected for fill level, clarity and seal integrity; labels applied
  11. Packing & Dispatch – Bottles packed in crates for distribution
