Green Nature Solutions UV disinfection systems provide a chemical-free, environmentally safe method to eliminate harmful microorganisms from water. Our UV systems use specially designed low-pressure mercury vapour lamps that emit ultraviolet radiation at 254 nm — the scientifically proven optimal wavelength for destroying the DNA of pathogens, rendering them unable to reproduce or cause infection.

How It Works

UV disinfection works by exposing water to high-intensity ultraviolet light as it flows through a stainless steel chamber. The UV energy at 254 nm penetrates the cell walls of microorganisms — including bacteria, viruses, algae, fungi and protozoa — and disrupts their DNA structure, effectively neutralising them without the use of any chemicals.

This process:

• Does not alter the taste, odour or pH of water

• Wiper Assembly – Optional automatic wiper mechanism for periodic cleaning of quartz sleeves without shutting down the system
• Electronic Ballast – Operates on 230V, single phase, 50 Hz AC supply; ensures consistent UV output and minimum power consumption
• UV Intensity Monitor – Optional sensor to continuously monitor lamp output and alert when replacement is required
