Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs) are designed to treat industrial wastewater before it is discharged to the environment or reused within the facility. Untreated industrial effluent contains harmful pollutants — heavy metals, toxic chemicals, high BOD/COD, suspended solids and colour — that can cause serious damage to water bodies, soil and human health. GNS designs, fabricates, erects, operates and maintains ETPs that ensure compliance with CPCB / SPCB discharge standards.
Industrial effluent passes through a series of physical, chemical and biological treatment stages that progressively reduce pollutant concentrations to safe levels. The specific treatment train is designed based on the nature and volume of effluent generated by the industry.
